SCHS Alumni News & Events
Father Cletus Uhen (1917-2012)
The Reverend Cletus Uhen, former athletic director and teacher at SCHS in the late 1950s and early 60s, died on November 24, 2012.
Father Uhen was an ardent supporter of St. Catherine’s throughout the decades. He was particularly passionate about the school’s athletic teams, having sat on Coach Bob Letsch’s bench for the last five boys' basketball state championships.
In recent years Father was also a regular at the St. Catherine’s Alumni House (1220 Villa Street) on Monday mornings whenever Charlie’s Angels – a group of alumni volunteers started by current athletic director Chuck Wood – met for coffee.
“Father Uhen had a long and wonderful history with St. Catherine’s,” said President Christopher Olley. "He was beloved inside the school community and will be missed by many."
